Denture emergency? Get in touch
All emergency situations considered. The sooner you call, the sooner we can help.
Our prosthetist is often with a patient, so if we miss your call, leave a message or send a text. Tell us what’s happened, and we’ll get back to you to talk through what we can do.
Common denture emergencies
- A broken denture: cracked, or snapped into pieces.
- A tooth come off: a tooth broken or fallen off your denture.
- Too sore to wear: a sore spot or rubbing that stops you wearing your denture.
- A sudden loose fit: a denture that’s started slipping or falling out.
Book a consultation
Call, text or send an enquiry. We get back to you within four business hours.
What to do while you wait
- Keep every piece: bring all the broken parts and any loose teeth with you.
- Don’t glue it: household glue can damage the denture and make a repair harder.
- Leave it out if it hurts: if your denture is rubbing, take it out to rest your gums until we can see you.
If you have heavy bleeding, swelling or signs of infection after an extraction, contact your dentist or doctor. In a medical emergency, call 000.
Getting your denture to us
Repairs need our workshop, so we don’t do them on home visits. Drop your denture at our Capalaba or Redland Bay clinic, post it in, or have a family member drop it off for you.
