What is a home denture visit?
A home visit brings denture care to you. If getting to the clinic is hard, we visit you at home or in your aged care facility.
Home visits cover all mainland suburbs in Redland City. We carry out every clinical procedure on a home visit, and it works best for full dentures. It’s also how Denture Pros started, as a mobile service around the bayside in 2018.
You see the same prosthetist at home as you would in the clinic, from your first consultation to your aftercare.
Why choose a home visit
- No travel: no driving, parking or organising a lift to and from an appointment.
- Familiar surroundings: you have your appointment somewhere you feel comfortable.
- Same treatments: consultations, impressions, try-ins, fittings and adjustments, the same as in the clinic.
- Family can be there: a family member or carer can easily join you.
Book a consultation
Call, text or send an enquiry. We get back to you within four business hours.
Who are home visits good for?
Anyone who struggles to travel because of physical limits, mobility or no transport. We always ask first whether you can come into the clinic.
- Travel is difficult: you have limited mobility, or find getting to appointments tiring or stressful.
- You don’t drive: you rely on family, friends or transport to get to appointments.
- You live in aged care: a facility visit works the same as a home visit.
- Your family is arranging care: a son or daughter, nearby or further away, can book a visit for a parent.
When a clinic visit might suit better
- Repairs: repairs need our workshop, so bring your denture to Capalaba or Redland Bay, or post it in.
- Outside the area: we don’t visit the islands or suburbs outside Redland City. Both clinics are open to you.
- You can travel: if you can get to the clinic, we’ll usually see you there.
What services are available at home?
All clinical procedures can be done on a home visit. Most of your care can happen without leaving home.

Consultations
- Examination: a check of your gums, any remaining teeth and your current denture.
- A clear recommendation: the option we think suits you, and the appointments involved.
- Best for: anyone starting out with a new denture or unsure what they need.

New dentures
- Records: impressions and bite records taken at home.
- Try-ins and fittings: check the fit, bite and look, then your finished denture fitted at home.
- Best for: full dentures in particular, plus partial and immediate dentures.

Adjustments
- Sore spots: relieved at home.
- Bite: heavy spots ground in.
- Best for: anyone whose denture rubs, feels loose or doesn’t bite right.
The home visit process
You tell us what you need, we arrange a time, and our prosthetist comes to you.
The number of visits depends on your treatment. An adjustment may only need one visit, while a new full denture takes about four.
- Your address: so we can check you’re within the service area.
- What you need: a new denture, an adjustment, or a check of your current denture.
- Mobility and health: We ask whether a clinic visit is possible, and about access and any health concerns.
- A convenient time: we work with you to find a time that fits your day.
- Family or carers: choose a time when anyone you’d like there can be there too.
- What to have ready: your current denture, if you have one, and a comfortable spot to sit.
- Examination: a check of your mouth, gums and any current denture.
- Treatment: your consultation, impressions, try-in, fitting or adjustment, carried out at home.
- Next steps: We explain what happens next and when.
- Impressions and bite records: so your denture is built to fit.
- Try-in: a wax version to check the fit, bite and look before it’s finished.
- Fitting: your finished denture fitted and adjusted at home.
- Adjustments: as needed while you settle in, at home.
- Fit checks: at least every two years.
- Repairs: drop off or post your denture to the clinic.
How much does a home visit cost?
A call-out fee applies, calculated on your location. Treatment costs depend on what you need.
Every case is different, so we discuss cost after you’ve booked and we’ve seen what your treatment involves.
What affects the cost
- Treatment: a consultation, new denture or adjustment.
- Call-out fee: calculated on where you are within Redland City.
Ways to pay
We’re upfront about cost once we’ve seen you, and there are a few ways to manage it:
- Health funds: we accept all major health funds and claim on the spot with HICAPS, so you only pay the gap.
- MediPay payment plans: spread the cost over instalments, so you can go ahead with the right treatment rather than a compromise.
We accept all health funds
We work with all major health insurance providers, so you can claim toward your treatment on the spot with HICAPS.
